An 83-year-old Lake in the Hills man died Friday in a crash on Haligus and Ackman Roads in Lakewood, the McHenry County Coroner said.
Malcolm A. Johnstone died at the scene, Coroner Anne Majewski said in a release.

Johnstone’s vehicle crashed into a tree at 10:55 a.m. Friday. He received multiple injuries and the cause of death was injuries due to blunt force trauma, Majewski said. Results of toxicology tests are pending.
