LITH Police Arrest Several People for DUI and Marijuana Possession

Note: The following information was obtained from Lake in the Hills Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law. 

DUI

Brian D. Bogacz, 29, of the 900 block of Aberdeen Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested at 4:09 p.m. Jan. 22, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol content over .08 and failure to reduce speed. He was stopped by police near Miller and Randall roads. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock. 

DUI- Drugs and Alcohol

Nicole M. Tortorice, 24, of the 28000 block of North Garland Rd., Wauconda, was arrested at 3:59 a.m. Jan. 19, and charged with driving under the influence of combined alcohol and drugs, improper lane use, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was stopped near Rakow and Pyott roads. She was released bond. 

DUI and No Insurance

Eduardo A. Espinoza, 23, of the 1000 block of Onaway Trail, Algonquin, was arrested at 5:27 a.m. Jan. 12, on a warrant from McHenry County for failure to appear in court on a traffic offense. He was also charged by LITH Police with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with blood-alcohol content over .08, speeding, improper lane use, no insurance, and illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver. He was stopped by police at Algonquin Road and Indian Trail. He was released on bond. 

Marijuana Possession

Devin A. Dibattista, 20, of the 600 block of Anderson Dr., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 1:32 a.m. Jan. 18, and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and improper lane use. He was stopped near Navajo Drive and Pyott Road.  He was released on bond. 

Use of Electronic Device While Driving

Juan J. Garcia, 39, of the 900 block of Augusta Ave., Elgin, was charged at 8:26 a.m. Jan. 18, with no valid drivers license and operating a vehicle while on an electronic communication device. He was stopped near Bucky's, 101 Pyott Rd. He was released on bond. 

Wanted on Warrant

Anna C. Saravia, 37, of Banford Court, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 9:40 a.m. Jan. 22, on a warrant out of McHenry County for aggravated assault after she was stopped by police near Bandford Circle and Princeton Lane. Bond was set at $1,500, 10 percent applied. She was released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Sasha S. Henderson, 25, of the 4900 block of W. Kamerling Ave., Chicago, was charged at 12:02 a.m. Jan. 17, with driving while license suspended and suspended registration. She was released on bond. 

Deandre D. Miller, 24, of the 1300 block of Northfield Ct., Harvard, was charged at 9:28 p.m. Jan. 19, with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was stopped near Rakow and Pyott roads. He was released on bond. 

Speeding

Anthony M. Hernandez, 18, of the 11000 block of Niagra Ln., Huntley, was charged at 4:59 p.m. Jan. 12, with speeding between 26 to 34 miles per hour over the speed limit. He was stopped by police near Algonquin Road and Talaga Drive. He was released on bond.
