Sunset Fest Returns This Week

In its 17th year, the end-of-summer festival in Lake in the Hills will return Sept. 1 to 3.

ALGONQUIN-LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL - From Summer Sunset Fest: How can you go wrong with 17 years of success? This annual Village event over Labor Day weekend celebrates the end of the summer season. The Woods Creek Tavern Main Stage is hoppin' all weekend and offers 8 bands, as well as Got Talent?...all free to enter!

The carnival will also be active throughout the weekend, offering discounted wristbands for unlimited rides during designated time periods each day. New this year, get the unlimited carnival ride MEGA PASS for the entire weekend. Pre-sale tickets available online for $70 until Thursday, August 31st. Mega Passes will also be sold at the festival for $85.

There will be a car show, 5K run, parade, FREE Sunset Fun Zone, bags tournament, craft bizarre, wine tasting, and the Sunday night finale is McHenry County's best fireworks show. Bring a blanket and some lawn chairs, as there is plenty of room just south of the parking area to sit and watch the display.
