McHenry County Local Business Guide: Dozens Offering Services
We asked local businesses in and around McHenry County to update their status and created a handy guide from their responses.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The coronavirus is having a profound impact on the global economy, and has been particularly damaging to local businesses that depend on foot-traffic and in-person interactions with their customers. Even so, many businesses, including dozens across McHenry County have found ways to stay open and to offer delivery, pick-up and safe-distance transactions to serve the community.
We put a call out to local businesses on Patch earlier this month and asked them to update their status, give details on how you can continue to patronize them and to let the community know how they can best help during these challenging times. You can find the local guide here.
As of Thursday, April 16, more than half of the nearly 80 businesses who've since responded to the call out are currently open, providing and offering delivery, curbside pickup, gift cards, Facebook events, special hours and much more.
