Medicaid Hearing Clinic Opens In Crystal Lake

The Americans for Better Hearing Foundation (ABHF) announced the opening of the ABHF Medicaid Hearing Health Clinic at the Family Health Partnership Clinic located at 401 Congress Parkway, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Appointments may be made by calling the facility at 630-321-3555.

The clinic aims to address a gap in hearing health by providing individuals covered by Medicaid with alternative options to obtaining hearing aids lowering the burden of the costs associated with them. Studies have shown that untreated hearing loss may contribute towards other cognitive and behavioral health conditions, including dementia, anxiety, and anti-social behavior. Currently, there are no health care providers other than ABHF in McHenry or Lake counties that provide Medicaid hearing aids.
