Occupation: Sr. Acct Executive for an events management company (34 yrs)

Previous or Current Elected or Appointed Office: Planning and Zoning Commission, Parks & Rec Commission, Business Relations Commission, Village Trustee

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.: Managing the village through the Covid 19 pandemic. Work with staff to identify funding resources from the State and Federal Govt. Manage spending.

Do you support Black Lives Matter and what are your thoughts on the demonstrations held since the death of George Floyd and the shooting of Jacob Blake?: I support "ALL LIVES MATTER"

Do you think the current board has done enough to support racial equality, and if not, what specifically should be done to do so?: Yes

What are your thoughts on the national and local coronavirus response? Do you favor measures such as limiting operation of non-essential businesses and restricting indoor/outdoor dining? And do you favor a local mask mandate?: I support the mandates issued from the governor and our county health department.

What are your thoughts on the state and local coronavirus vaccine distribution, and how do you think local governments should work together to handle vaccine rollout?: I believe the current distribution is adequate.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?: Experience, sat on the various commission supporting our village residents and business's. Retired from the US Army has given me the leadership needed for this position.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?: Keeping our tax levy flat, by managing our budgets.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?: Continue working to bring economic development to the village, continue working to keep our tax levy flat.

Why should voters trust you?: Having lived in the community for 23 years, village trustee for over 13 years, I have earned the trust from my community.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the use of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?: Being transparent.

Is there any reason you would not serve your full term of office, other than those of health or family?: No

The best advice ever shared with me was: Be honest with yourself and the people you meet.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

My commitment to this community is strong. I have been a Rotarian for more than 10 years, giving back. I am the president and co-founder of the People for Parks Foundation of Lake in the Hills, giving scholarships to families in need of assistance for recreation programing. I am retired US Army and support our local veterans.
