Mobile Coronavirus Testing Offered In McHenry County

Testing will be offered on Saturday and Feb. 5, weather permitting.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The McHenry County Department of Health will offer mobile coronavirus testing at two locations this week and next week.

The drive-up testing events will be offered from 8 a.m. t0 4 p.m. on each day. The first testing event is offered on Saturday at Lippold park. Those hoping to get tested should arrive at the east entrance at 851 West Route 176 in Crystal Lake.

Another testing event is to follow on Feb. 5. This event will take place at McHenry County College parking lot F, located at 8900 Route 14.

In the event of inclement weather, residents should confirm testing events on the McHenry County Department of Health's website.

All testing is performed with a nasal swab, the health department said. Testing is offered free of cost, and appointments are not required. Residents should bring an insurance card to be tested, if applicable.

The county said the testing events are operated by the State of Illinois. Results will be provided by phone or online in 4 to 7 days.
