Many Algonquin homes are selling shortly after a month on the market and well above the original list price.

ALGONQUIN, IL — Houses in Algonquin and across the Chicago area continue to fly off the market with most homes selling for tens of thousands more than the original list price.
Here is a closer look at five recently sold homes in town:

A five-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home at 3720 Persimmon Drive, Algonquin, sold on June 1 for $415,000. The 4,864-square-foot home spent 33 days on the market and was originally listed for $360,000. The home last sold in 2015 for $300,000.

A four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home at 1630 Creeks Crossing Drive in Algonquin sold for $460,000 on June 4. The home spent 35 days on the market and was originally listed for $439,900. The home has 2,990-square-feet and is on a .25-acre lot.

A three-bedroom condo/townhome at 1121 Grayhawk Circle in Algonquin sold for $290,000 on June 4. The 2.5 bathroom, 1,966-square-foot resident was on the market for 34 days and was originally listed for $275,000. The condo/townhome last sold in February 2019 for $258,300.

A five-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 11 White Chapel Court, Algonquin, sold for $440,000 on June 1. The 4,080-square-foot home spent 108 days on the market and was originally listed for $434,900.

A three-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom home at 821 Timberwood Land Algonquin, sold on June 2 for $255,500. The 1,400-square-foot home spent 41 days on the market and was originally listed for $239,900.
