St. Charles Woman Dies After Striking a Tree in a Parking Lot

Marianne Hinger, 86, of St. Charles, Illinois died on March 22 after striking a tree head on in the parking lot of a Jewel-Osco in St. Charles.

The woman was taken to Delnor Hospital where she was pronouced dead at 5:03 p.m.

The cause of death is under investigation by the Kane County Coroner’s Office.

“An autopsy was performed on March 23, 2015 and preliminary findings showed multiple injuries, due to automobile striking fixed object,” a written release from the Kane County Coroner’s Office states. “Toxicology samples were sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.”
