Trump-Themed Boat Parade Draws Hundreds To Fox River
The boat parade began in Algonquin on Sunday with more than 300 boats and thousands of spectators lining the shore.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — More than 300 boats participated in a boat parade along the Fox River in McHenry County Sunday as a way to show their support for President Donald Trump. Steve Riggio, of Barrington Hills, helped to organize the event following talks with members of a local boating group, Fleet 17, according to the Northwest Herald.
The group wanted to host the flotilla as close to the election as possible, but before it got too cold, and after sharing information about the idea on Facebook, seven other boating clubs in the area picked up the event as well, according to the article. Boats adorned with Trump signs gathered outside Port Edward Restaurant in Algonquin at 10 a.m. on Sunday and traveled north.
Thousands of spectators showed their support for Trump from the shoreline as they watched the boat parade, according to the article.

“The event turned out to be a huge success, much further than I would have ever imagined it to be,” Riggio said. “I was overwhelmed.”
