ALGONQUIN, IL —Algonquin officials and a state senator are teaming up to urge anyone who hasn't yet received their COVID-19 vaccine to stop out to a free COVID-19 vaccination clinic this weekend at the Algonquin Public Works facility.

The Pfizer shot will be offered to anyone 12 years old and older at a clinic held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 15. The second shot will be doled out from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 5. Appointments can be booked online and walk-ins are also accepted.

“The clinic is open to anyone, but we are especially encouraging our local residents who have not received a shot to take advantage of this free and safe opportunity to help us get our community vaccinated,” said Illinois Senate leader Dan McConchie, R-Hawthorn Woods. “COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on our public health and economy in the 26th District. This clinic is an opportunity to help us move forward in defeating this deadly virus.”
