The Village of Lake in the Hills Public Works Department is excited to invite the public to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Ford School Park playground on June 22, 2021. The ceremony will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 302 Ramble Road, Lake in the Hills, 60156.

The Ford School Park playground was replaced in May 2021, and the playground has reopened to the public. The Public Works team is eager to celebrate the project’s completion and formally welcome community members back to the playground at the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The old playground equipment was replaced after reaching its twenty-year lifespan based on the industry standard and assessed physical condition. At the beginning of 2021, the Public Works Department conducted three resident surveys to gauge interest in various equipment features, share potential design concepts, and foster conversation about the project.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held outdoors in a large area that allows for social distancing.

Please contact the Public Works Department at 847-960-7500 from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for additional information.
