Woman Shot In Lake In The Hills

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A woman was shot Saturday night in Lake in the Hills, police said.

The Lake in the Hills Police Department was called to the 1300 block of Cunat Court in Lake in the Hills at about 9 p.m. for a report of a woman with an unknown medical issue, according to a news release from the Lake in the Hills Police Department. When they arrived, authorities determined the woman had been shot.

The woman was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, police said.

The McHenry County Major Crimes Task Force is assisting the Lake in the Hills Police Department in the investigation. Police said there will be extra police presence in the area following the shooting.
