1 Dead In Fatal Shooting In Barrington Hills

BARRINGTON HILLS, IL — Authorities are investigating the death of a man who was fatally shot while at a party in Barrington Hills early Saturday, authorities said. Police responded at 3:22 a.m. to the home in the 300 block of Old Sutton Road, which was being rented on a short-term basis.

The party was being held by people that did not live in Barrington Hills, according to a news release from the police department.

The identity of the victim will not be released until authorities have been able to positively identify the victim, authorities said. Police say the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the community.

The death remains under investigation. Authorities closed Old Sutton Road between Otis Road and Route 62 while the incident was being investigated.
