Barrington 220 Registration Fees Due in October

A look at fees in Barrington Community Unit School District 220.

Barrington Community Unit School District 220 will be holding registration for the new school year _ which begins Aug. 20 _ next week, but families won’t be assessed fees until October.

The change is being made so students will have a chance to finalize their classes, said Jeff Arnett, Barrington 220 spokesman.

The fees for the 2013-2014 school year are:

District 220 waives fees for any students whose family is enrolled in the federal free-and-reduced lunch program. The federal program is based on income, poverty level and socioeconomic status, Arnett said.

Families who do not meet the federal qualification but are having a financial hardship can contact the school district to develop an appropriate payment plan, he said.
