Barrington Parents Neglected Dead Infant: Report

The Daily Herald reported that a Department of Children and Family Services report found that a baby girl who died in January was neglected.

A 8-month-old girl who died Jan. 8 was neglected by her parents according to a Department of Children and Family Services investigation, the Daily Herald reported.

Police were called to the 10 block of South Hager Avenue when Mya was found unconscious and unresponsive, Patch previously reported.

The DCFS investigation is separate from a police investigation into Mya's death. The Daily Herald reported that Mya's twin sister has been placed in a foster home and her parent's have supervised visitation.

An initial autopsy on Mya was inconclusive, the Barrington-Courier Review reported.
