A man ran out of the CVS at 101 South Northwest Highway, with two baskets full of merchandise with a value over $500 on Aug. 25, police said.
Adrian S. Cook, 22, of 601 Santa Fe Ave., Carpentersville, was arrested Aug.24 for speeding more than 30 over at Main St. and Hilltop Ave. Cook was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Sept. 16.

A cab driver reported a man on a bicycle punched him in the face at the train depot, 201 Spring St. on Aug. 22, police said. The incident was reported as a battery.

Carrie M. Brock, 45, of 6513 Scott Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after being involved in an accident at Route 14 and Main St. on Aug. 20, police said. Brock was released on bond and given a Cook County court date of Sept. 9.
