Barrington’s 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

Barrington's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

BARRINGTON, IL – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including Barrington. Although Barrington’s parade has been canceled and the fireworks have been postponed, the city is encouraging residents to decorate their bikes and have a parade in their own neighborhoods.

The Barrington Fire and Police, and a DJ, will travel the neighborhoods to greet residents. In the afternoon, a Barrington White House concert with Bob the DJ will be live-streamed. Residents are encouraged to have barbecues for their own families in their driveways.

Fireworks have been postponed until Oct. 6.
