Bid Awarded for Pagancia Subdivision Lift Station Replacement
Village of Barrington replacing obsolete lift station.

A lift station on Dormy Lane will be replaced this year at a cost of $353,500 because it has become obsolete and poses a danger to the health and safety of village employees.
The project involves abandoning the station and replacing it with a pre-case submersible station with new pumps, valves and pipes with a new control panel and natural gas generator, according to staff reports.
Currently, the lift station is a can-style type that requires employees gain access into an underground vault for routine maintenance and repairs.
