Car Hits, Kills Man On Dundee Road In Barrington Hills: Police
Barrington Hills police said Dundee Road remained closed between Bateman and Healy until 10:30 p.m., July 15 for a crash investigation.
BARRINGTON HILL, IL — An 86-year-old man died Monday after being hit by a car at Dundee Road near Potter Lane, according to a release from Barrington Hills Police Department. Barrington police and the East Dundee Fire Department responded to the scene just before 5:45 p.m. for a report of a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, according to the release. The driver of the car involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to police.
Dundee Road between Bateman and Healy roads were closed until 10:30 p.m. due to the crash investigation, according to the release, adding that Hanover Township Emergency Services helped on scene with the road closure.
The victim's name hasn't been released, and the crash remains under investigation by the Barrington Hills Police Department and the Lake County Major Crash Assistance Team.
