Andy Nettis is a physical education teacher at Roslyn and Countryside Elementary schools who gives up his lunch hour to run the Jump Club, giving children exercise and firing up their young brains to learn.
Vicki Stoneham is a bus driver for special needs children who takes the time to buckle each child up and learn about their lives.
Scott Bower is the Cub Scout Pack 210 leader who has touched many lives, and who makes a mean bowl of chili for Cub Scout outings.
The three were among this year’s recipients of Character Counts “Six Pillar Awards.” The Barrington Junior Women’s Club recognized 10 people with “Six Pillar Awards”, each receiving an award for a pillar of character they exhibit. Those pillars are respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, trustworthiness and citizenship.
