Deer Park Man Charged In Fatal 2018 Barrington Hills Hit-And-Run

Tommy G. Walker III, from Deer Park, surrendered Wednesday to Barrington Hills police, the Daily Herald reported.

BARRINGTON HILLS, IL — A Deer Park man faces a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident involving death in connection with a May 2018 hit-and-run crash involving a bicyclist along Route 59 south of Route 68. The Daily Herald reported 42-year-old Tommy G. Walker III, from the 23000 block of Long Grove Road, surrendered Wednesday to Barrington Hills police for the charge stemming from the fatal hit-and-run that killed 28-year-old Rafal Ryndak, from Schiller Park. According to the news report, authorities believe Walker was driving a Toyota pickup truck or SUV that hit Ryndak's bike around 10 p.m. on May 11, 2018, throwing the man from the bicycle.

Walker was expected in court Wednesday, the Daily Herald reported. According to Barrington Hills police spokesman William Walsh, the extensive investigation into the May 2018 incident was conducted by Barrington Hills police and Major Crash Assistance Team of Lake County.
