'Flagship' Moretti's Opening Soon in Barrington
The newest Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria is set to open later this spring near the Metra station in Barrington.
BARRINGTON, IL -- Restauranteur Mark Hoffmann plans to open a Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria near the downtown Barrington train station by late spring. And he has big plans for the new restaurant, which will be located in the former Wool Street Grill and Sports Bar, at 128 Wool Street. The interior has underwent extensive renovations all while making sure to preserve the integrity of the building on Wool Street, which reportedly was built in 1865, Hoffmann told the Daily Herald.
The restaurant will have a second-floor outdoor dining area that is covered but that will also have an al-fresco area, according to the article. There will be a cafe on the Klingenberg Lane side of the building, which is near the train station, and will serve morning commuters.
"Of all of our new locations that we open, this will definitely be our flagship," Hoffmann said Thursday. "Plus, we're local boys here, so nowhere would I want to invest my money more than in my own neighborhood."
