Forgery and Fraud: Barrington Police Blotter

FORGERY
Matthew W. Sowders, age 21, of 20133 N. Ela Rd., Barrington, Â was arrested for forgery at 106 N. Northwest Hwy., Feb. 13 The subject was transported to Lake County for bond call.
Police took a forgery report, March 12, Â when a check was signed and cashed by someone not on the account.

FRAUD
A resident of the 700 block of South Highland Avenue reported, on March 11, that  a debit account had been fraudulently accessed.

On March 14, Police took a fraud report when a pharmacy received a prescription that was not issued by the physician named on the script.
THEFT
On March 13, a resident of the 400 block of Park Barrington Drive reported their front license plate was missing off the vehicle.
On March 15, an iPhone 4S was reported stolen from a locker at Barrington High School, 616 West Main Street.
POT HOLE DAMAGES
Police took a report on March 12 that a vehicle suffered estimated damages of $1883.88 as a result of hitting a pot hole in the 300 block of West Northwest Highway.
