BARRINGTON HILLS, IL - A neighborhood in Barrington Hills is on high alert this week after a report from police that an 11-year-old girl was followed home from the school bus into the driveway of her home Tuesday afternoon.

An alert shared by the Barrington Police Department on social media indicates a suspicious vehicle followed the girl up the driveway near Algonquin and Bateman roads around 4:20 p.m.

The only description provided to police was that it was an older black car that was possibly driven by a white male subject. Whoever was driving the car left immediately when the girl turned on the lights outside the home, police said.
