A plan to modernize and improve Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital has been approved by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board, the Daily Herald reports.
The board voted to approve the $247 million project, which will take four years to complete. Once finished, the hospital will have private rooms for every patient, make each operating room larger, and also provide more high-tech equipment for surgeons and other hospital employees, the newspaper reports.Â
