It was a beautiful day Tuesday when thousands of Barrington Community Unit School District 220 schoolchildren headed back to school. 

Barrington Patch visited Arnett C. Lines Elementary School in Barrington, capturing images that were surely repeated at schools all over the district. 

Lines schoolchildren got in line on the playground, entering the building when the first bell rang. There were a lot of hugs, laughs and sighs as a new school year began.
