Longtime Barrington Resident James Windgassen Dies at 94

James C. Windgaseen of Barrington passed away July 25 at the age of 94. 

Jim was a very spiritual and kind hearted man.  He was always willing to help others in need. He enjoyed most, sharing these disciplines with his children and grandchildren.  Jim was very involved in his church and volunteered his time for many religious and charitable organizations.  He was the beloved husband of the late Marian; proud and loving father of Glenn, Jeanne (Luther) Vanover, Bill (Blanche), Gail (James) Drury, Sharon (James Wojdyla) Zak, Rick (Laura) and Nancy (Mike) Miller; grandfather of 17; great grandfather of 5; brother of the late Betty Rampleman.  Mass will be said at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 29 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St. (corner of Ela & Franklin) Barrington, IL. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to the Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity (PHD), 1610   W. Colonial Parkway, Palatine, IL 60067.
