New Retail Development Breaks Ground in Lake Barrington

New development first in 25 years.

 

 

KVM Development, LLC, broke ground this week to mark the start of Phase I of Pepper Park of Lake Barrington.

The 14,900 square foot retail shopping center, at 22000 N. Pepper Road, will feature Pepper Park Coffee, a specialty coffee shop and café. 

Phase I of Pepper Park of Lake Barrington is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2014.  Pepper Park Coffee will host a grand opening event shortly thereafter.

Pepper Park of Lake Barrington is the first new multi-tenant retail development in Lake Barrington in over 25 years.

KVM Development CEO Ken Malo, a longtime Barrington resident, is also the founder and president of Swiss Automation, Inc., located at 1020 Northwest Highway.  Swiss Automation, a Barrington fixture since 1970 when it began as a one-man shop, now employs over 180 people in a state-of-the-art facility. 

Malo’s ongoing commitment to the community is evident in his latest venture.

Malo and vice president Vanessa Malo-Kurzinski, along with Bob Podgorski, president of Kelgor Construction in Lake Barrington and Kathleen Scott, Director of Business Development led the groundbreaking.
