Park Ave. To Close To Accommodate Outdoor Dining
The Barrington Village Board on Thursday approved the street closure to allow McGonigal's and Big Iron Horse BBQ to offer outdoor seating.

BARRINGTON, IL — The Barrington Village Board on Thursday night authorized closing Park Avenue to allow McGonigal's Pub and Big Iron Horse BBQ to offer additional outdoor seating. The state is entering Phase 3 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker's reopening plan on Friday and businesses and municipalities have been scrambling to accommodate customers, and hopefully ramp up sales, while still meeting guidelines set up by the state that promote social distancing.
McGonigal's Pub told customers in a note posted on its website Thursday night that the decision by village officials will allow for "dozens of patrons," according to information posted on the McGonigal's website. There will be 24 tables available and Park Avenue will be closed off between Cook and Station streets, Barrington Assistant to the Village Manager Melanie Marcordes told the Daily Herald.
