Relay For Life of Barrington Hosting Kick-Off for 2014 Event

Relay For Life of Barrington has raised more than $1 million for the American Cancer Society. Planning is underway for this summer's event.

Relay For Life of Barrington is hosting a kick-off party to get the campaign going for the 2014 event.

Learn how Relay For Life teams raise money to help find a cure for cancer at at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at Francesca’s Famiglia Restaurant, 100 E. Station St. Light food will be served, along with a cash bar.

Last year, Relay For Life of Barrington raised a whopping $322,000 for the American Cancer Society, and more than $1 million over the past three years. Barrington is ranked No. 2 in the state for relay funds raised.

This year's Relay For Life of Barrington will be held June 6 at Barrington High School. So far, eight teams and 12 participants have committed to the event. Are you in?
