Uncork Barrington Wine-Tasting Event Set for July 12

An early bird ticket will be offered through July 5 for the price of $35.

The Barrington Village Association’s 9th annual “Uncork Barrington” wine-tasting event is set for Friday, July 12 in the commuter parking lot of the Barrington Metra station.  

The 2013 event offers event-goers the opportunity to sample and purchase 48 interesting, quality wines from around the world and taste flavorful foods from local restaurants. Live entertainment by Felix and Fingers piano and jazz duo will also be enjoyed.  

Each guest is provided with a souvenir wine glass and passport to guide them through the evening. Everyone is serviced in a first-class fashion in a pavilion well-appointed with plants, decorative lighting, and linen table cloths.  

For the first time in the history of the event, an “early bird” ticket is being offered at the cost of only $35. Those interested have up until July 5 to purchase these tickets online at www.uncorkbarrington.com or at any one of the following locations: Heinen’s Fine Foods at 500 N. Hough Street; Wine Discount Center at 311 E. Main Street; Cooper’s Pizza at 117 South Hough Street; Barrington Print & Copy at 200 James Street; and Park Avenue Wine Bar at 205 Park Avenue. 

Uncork Barrington is open to all persons 21 years and over, who will be required to show proof of age at the gate.
