Vero Voce presents SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD
Vero Voce presents Ken Ludwig's hilarious farce, SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD

(ST CHARLES) Vero Voce Theater in St Charles proudly presents Ken Ludwig’s SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD.Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm, October 2-18, 2015 in the Vero Voce Theater located at 951 State Avenue, St Charles, IL 60174.
Winner of the 2004 Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play! Appropriate for audiences pre-teen through adult. It’s 1934, and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves. With a little help from a feisty flower, blonde bombshells, movie moguls, and arrogant “asses” are tossed into loopy love triangles, with raucous results. The mischievous magic of moviedom sparkles in this hilarious comic romp.
SHAKESPEARE IN HOLLYWOOD is directed by Dennis Brown (Vero Voce co-owner) with Assistant Director, Miranda Keigher, produced by Dawn Harkins (Vero Voce co-owner) and David Rodriguez (Vero Voce Artistic Director).
