‘Wellness Rising’ Hosts First of Eight Free Events Highlighting Healthier Living
The group has formed a coalition with organizations and businesses that take a new look at health and wellness-1st event is Mon. Oct. 23rd.

Wellness rising is a coalition formed with local organizations and small businesses that take a fresh look at health and wellness, and the commitment to education first.
The group’s kickoff event, which is free to attend, will be held on Monday October 23, 2017, and is the first in a series of eight planned events. It will be hosted from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 57 in Elgin, 820 N Liberty St, Elgin, Illinois 60120.

"Wellness Rising events are designed around real healthcare, with a focus on prevention which will empower the community to take ownership of their health and connect people to valuable resources," said Jenel Zafer, a founding member of the coalition.
The event will feature two speakers who will be discussing prevention and wellness through diet and natural methods.

Certified nutritionist, Judeth Brown, CN, will also be presenting and discussing her more than 30 years of taking a natural approach to nutrition and health. Brown has a background in nursing, pharmacy and biochemistry, and has been providing information from current science and research to assist with a persons health.
“I seek to find a balance in each individual I consult with through a holistic approach,” Brown said. “I combine physical, emotional and mental aspects to help a person to become stronger and have the ability to heal from sickness.”
Linda Sanzeri, who was diagnosed with cancer, but now has an all-clear from her doctor, will be presenting information on how changing her diet and lifestyle habits, let to her cancer being no longer traceable.
Topics covered in this event will include skin care, breast care, and a variety of women's health issues. Participating practitioners and vendors will include:
