
On weekends, my wife, Belle, listens to music while showering and preparing to head out. It’s usually country or gospel. She presses a button on her six inch tall cylindrical bluetooth speaker, requests an artist or a genre and, moments later, music envelopes our master bath.
And like her, nowadays people everywhere stream music via cell phones, tablets and wireless speakers, with the likes of Apple Music, Amazon Prime and Spotify serving it up with competitive plans. For those who don’t like lossy MP3 formatted music but eschew the inconvenience of vinyl, there are companies like Deezer and Tidal for higher fidelity playback.
