Register Today for 30 Day Intensive Writing Workshop and Don't Miss Our Free NaNoWriMo Events at the Harper College Library!

November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo)

NaNoWriMo is a nonprofit organization that encourages and supports people around the world to tell their stories. Every November, this organization promotes the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel during the month. Although this challenge may strike fear in any writer's heart, be brave - NaNoWriMo.org provides a plethora of tools and support to help you reach your goal. Last year, NaNoWriMo welcomed nearly a half-million participants! If you have ever considered writing a novel, this may be the challenge for you.

Need inspiration? Hundreds of NaNoWriMo novels have been traditionally published. They include Sara Gruen’s Water for Elephants, Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus, Hugh Howey’s Wool, Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl, Jason Hough’s The Darwin Elevator, and Marissa Meyer’s Cinder. If you have ever considered writing a novel, this may be the challenge for you. Start by clicking here to learn how NaNoWriMo works.
