Batavia Chamber Of Commerce: Fox Valley Patriotic Organization Announces Upcoming Fundraisers

The Fox Valley Patriotic Organization was founded in 2016 to educate Americans about the history of the American Flag and the “Father of Flag Day”, Dr. Bernard Cigrand, (a Batavian for decades). The group plans to memorialize their contributions to patriotism via a permanent monument and garden area in downtown Batavia.

The monument tells the story of the American flag and its significance in the life and passionate spirit of our country, from its inception during the American Revolution to the present day. The design of this monument, which incorporates history, science, and the arts, captures these stories and events in a way that is beautiful and educational. Every visitor will walk away with an appreciation for our flag, our nation, and the sacrifice that was made by so many for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Current plans are to break ground for this monument on Flag Day, June 14, 2022.  For more information, please go to:
