Batavia Chamber Of Commerce: Water Street Studios Launches The Kane County Magazine Gallery

Batavia, IL—Water Street Studios unveiled the new Kane County Magazine Gallery on May 14, 2021. What began as a monthly Artist of the Month magazine feature, highlighting artists of the local non-profit community art center, has continued to develop into a partnership focused on bringing art to the Kane County community. "It's so exciting to see our partnership with Water Street Studios grow with the addition of the gallery," said Hannah Hoffmeister, editor of Kane County Magazine. "I'm thrilled with how it turned out and can't wait to return again soon to see future exhibits!” Moving ahead the Kane County Magazine gallery will highlight local and emerging artists.  

 
“The Board, artists and staff of Water Street Studios have enjoyed working with Kane County Magazine in past months and look forward to exploring the endless possibilities of this pairing,” said Taylor Egan, Executive Director of Water Street Studios. “The success of this organization is built upon strong community partnerships, and we believe that with the support of Kane County Magazine and Shaw Media Water Street Studios will be able to further deliver on our mission of making art and art education accessible to all in the area and beyond.”
 
The Kane County Magazine Gallery will celebrate a new exhibit on the Second Friday of each month, along with the Dempsey Family and Chicago Capital Galleries housed within the historic building. An installation of artists featured in the 2021 KC Magazine Artist of the Month series will open in December.
 
Water Street Studios and Kane County Gallery welcome the public into this space during public hours, Wednesday-Friday, noon-5pm and Saturdays, 9am-2pm. Gallery openings are the second Friday of each month from 6-9pm. More information on events and classes at Water Street Studios can be found on the website, www.waterstreetstudios.org.
