Batavia Man Pretended To Flash Loaded Gun In Bar: Police
Police allege the man "casually" told some bar customers he was armed, while showing others what appeared to be a revolver.
BATAVIA, IL — A 28-year-old Batavia man is facing two misdemeanor charges after police alleged he bragged to other customers at a downtown bar that he was carrying a loaded gun.
Omar Chavez, 28, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct after Batavia police were called Aug. 23 to Bulldog’s Cellar Bar on East Wilson Street, according to a report by the Kane County Chronicle.

Police searched Chavez at the bar and did not find anything on him, but they later found a BB gun on the property, the report states. Chavez denied having any type of weapon at the bar, the Chronicle reports.
Chavez was released after posting bond. He is due to next appear in court Dec. 1.
