BATAVIA, IL —A Batavia man has been sentenced to prison for forcing his way into a Batavia home and starting an early-morning fight last year. Christopher J. Turecek, 37, of the 900 block of Washington Street, was sentenced to 7.5 years in prison in connection with the home invasion and aggravated battery that occurred in the early morning hours of Sept. 3, 2018.
Prosecutors said Turecek went to the victim’s home on Brandywine Circle in Batavia and entered the home uninvited. The two got into an argument before Turecek left. Around 4 a.m. Turecek returned, forced his way into the home and beat up the victim, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
