Batavia Police Seek Help in Forcible Burglary at Dunkin Donuts
The department described the offender as male white or Hispanic

At 1:28 a.m., March 16, the Batavia Police Department discovered that a forcible burglary had occurred at the Dunkin Donuts, 2002 W Wilson Street, Batavia Police said in a written release. Responding officers searched the store and the offender had already left the scene.
The Batavia Police Department said the incident was caught on video.
“The offender approached the store on foot and attempted to pry open the drive thru window with a pry tool,” The Batavia Police Department release said. “The attempt was unsuccessful and the offender proceeded to break an east side window.

“The offender made entry to the store though that window and once inside walked behind the counter to the manager’s office.”
The release goes on to state:

“ The offender then forced entry into the manager’s office by prying the door open,” it states. “While inside the office, the offender examined the safe but did not attempt to open it.
“A few seconds later the offender exited the office and immediately exited the store through a rear door.”
Despite forcing entry, police said that after speaking with Dunkin Donuts employees, it appeared that the offender did not take anything from the store.
