Batavia Portillo's To Launch Delivery System, Hire Drivers
The restaurant chain, which has 62 locations, will continue to use third-party delivery platforms but expects to hire hundreds of drivers.
BATAVIA, IL – Portillo's, known for its menu of Chicago culinary favorites like Italian beef and Chicago-style hotdogs, has announced it is launching a delivery service and will be actively hiring drivers.
In a news release Monday, Portillo's officials announced that the company would soon hire drivers to deliver select online orders and bring "the true Portillo's experience" to local residents' doorsteps.

Portillo's locations include a restaurant at 531 N. Randall Road in Batavia.

The restaurant chain announced it would be hiring several drivers for each of its 62 locations, which will account for hundreds of new jobs throughout the chain. In addition to earning a base salary, drivers will be able to collect tips, and they will be cross-trained to work in the restaurants where they are hired.
Drivers must be at least 18 years old, have their own vehicle and must be able to show proof of insurance.
