BPS101 Families-

This is our last Messenger for the 2020-21 school year. What an interesting year it has been. We thank you for your perseverance, patience, kindness, and overall flexibility. We have asked you to make many changes over the past year and we thank you for partnering with us on this journey. Finally, we would like to congratulate all students that are advancing from BHS, the Early Childhood Center, Elementary Schools, or Middle School. These are all great accomplishments. If you would like to watch the live stream of the BHS Commencement Ceremony from NIU tonight, you can watch it HERE starting at 7:00 PM. We look forward to hearing about your future successes and look forward to continuing on your education journey with you.

Backpack Mail

Looking for something to do with the kiddos this summer? Backpack Mail is full of electronic flyers for summer camps of all different kinds, for all ages! Check it out HERE.

School Supplies

Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, general school supplies for grades K-5 will be provided by the school.  Students are still responsible for bringing personal items (including backpacks and headphones).  There is no additional fee for school supplies, which is now incorporated into student registration fees ($150).

2021-22 School Year

Batavia Public Schools is ready to transition remote students back to in-person learning next year. A recent Illinois State Board of Education resolution in support of in-person learning confirms what we have been working toward this spring–a safe return to everyday, in-person learning for students at all grade levels. Conditions later this summer and the guidance of state entities will provide clarity on potential mitigation measures and what school will look like for the return in the fall.

All remote students will automatically be enrolled in the in-person school environment for next year. Unless you have moved or your residency status has changed since the beginning of school this year, you do not need to do anything until August 2nd. If you have any changes, please contact the BPS101 central office at 630.937.8800 or by emailing help@bps101.net.

Have a great summer. We are here for you if you need anything. We will be working to make the 2021-22 school year amazing!

Be well and be safe,

BPS101
