The district also shares important winter break updates with families.

Dear BPS101 Families-

First and foremost, we would like to wish all of our staff and students successful final days of this semester, and a close to 2020. May the holidays be a time to wind down, relax, and find peace.

BPS101 will continue to provide meals to all of our families during Winter Break. Here is the flyer with details of dates, times, and locations for pickup.

District Assistance During Winter Break (NEW)

If you need assistance during the winter break, please call the District Office Main Line at (630) 937-8800 or email help@bps101.net to make an appointment.

Board Meeting Notes (NEW)

At the Board of Education meeting last night, the Board approved the school calendar for the 2021-22 school year.

In looking forward, members of the Curriculum and Instruction team presented on a future planning initiative called the Portrait of a Graduate. This process includes asking the community if our students are well prepared to contribute and thrive after leaving BPS101? Look for more of these questions and answers in the months to come.

Notification of Student Absences (Reminder)

For in-person learning families, it is important that you continue to self-monitor your family members and notify the school if your student is unable to return to school in-person due to illness or quarantine. Please do not wait until their in-person return date to report the absence.

Snow Days for 2020-21 (Reminder)

As we approach the time of the year when winter storms and extreme temperatures are likely, you might want to review our emergency closing information. During the 2020-21 school year, we will pivot to a remote learning day rather than closing schools whenever possible.

Winter Break and Beyond (Reminder)

Our winter break begins on Monday, December 21st, and classes will resume on Wednesday, January 6th. We will resume our Crimson/Gold rotation for most in-person learners on January 6th, which is a Crimson Day. Some identified groups, including kindergarten and the addition of first-grade students, will be in everyday mode starting January 6th. District families can plan for this to be the schedule for the remainder of the school year.

Extending well wishes and a safe holiday season to all of our BPS101 family.

With care,
BPS101
