Batavia School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Batavia is August 16. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. Batavia Public School District 101 has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/1: Half-Day for Students
• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

• 10/5: Half-Day for Students
• 10/6 - 10/9: No School

November

• 11/3: Half-Day for Students
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

February

• 2/16: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 2/19: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/1: Half-Day for Students
• 3/2: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 3/26 - 4/2: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2: No School (Spring Break)
• 4/20: Half-Day for Students

May

• 5/7: No School for Students (Institute Day)
• 5/25: Last Day of School (Without Emergency Days)
• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/4: Last Day of School with 5 Emergency Days
