Batavia's 'Bulldogs Unleashed' Statues To Head To Auction
The colorful bulldog statues will be on display until Labor Day and the auction is set for September 15.

BATAVIA, IL — If you've been admiring the colorfully adorned bulldog statues that have been brightening up the streets of Batavia, you'll be happy to know you can soon own one of your own. The Eastside Community Center will host a live auction of the entries from the Bulldogs Unleashed public art project on September 15.
Currently, 15 of the painted bulldogs stand proudly near landmarks throughout the city. Through Labor Day, you can find them at Batavia parks, near public schools, and downtown. The beloved bulldogs were adorned in superhero costumes, emblazoned in cityscapes, and clad in Batavia High School spirit gear by artists who live in and around the community.
The fruits of their labors have added cheer to the city throughout the summer and the sale of these bright bulldogs will help fund upcoming initiatives, events, and projects in Batavia.
