Coronavirus Cases Up 65% In Batavia Schools Over Past Week
District 101 has reported 21 additional coronavirus cases within its facilities since Oct. 27.
BATAVIA, IL — Coronavirus cases are growing quickly within Batavia Public School District 101, which experienced a 65 percent increase in cases over the past week.
District 101 officials reported 32 total cases Oct. 27. That grew to 53 cases by Wednesday, including 40 among students, according to the district’s coronavirus dashboard.

There are 33 active cases within the district, including 13 at its elementary schools, 12 at Batavia High School and seven at Rotolo Middle School.

Elementary students in District 101 returned to classrooms in mid-August. High school students who opted for in-person learning came back in mid-October, and Rotolo Middle School students are scheduled to return later this month.
