Dog & Puppy Foster Homes Needed for 2/2!!

Forget the Super Bowl! Have your own Puppy Bowl!

These adorable dogs and puppies are currently living in a shelter in TN. They are not safe there and Safe Haven would love to bring them to safety in Illinois. As an all foster based rescue we are looking to the community to open their homes and give these guys a temporary place to live while we find them their forever home(and who knows? It might just be with you)

Who can foster? Single people, married people, people with full time jobs, people with dogs, people with kids, people with cats, retired folks, college age people, people who own a home, people who live in an apartment, pretty much anyone who love dogs and wants to help them! You need to be 18 and be able to take the dog to the vet as well as adoption events.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

Here are some of the dogs looking to get a ride on that freedom van!

Capps is a 3 year old sweetheart of a dog! He's friendly and likes to be carried around like a toddler. He's 20lbs of spunky fun! Capps know sit, down, shake, roll over and even play dead! He will make an excellent family pet! Sadly this little guy is HW+ He'll need a place for 2-3 months while he's treated. Can anyone foster Capps?

Asia & Austin are the last two "A" team puppies looking to hitch a ride to IL on 2/2. The are sweet and playful. They can be fostered separately or together for twice the fun! Thy are about 10 weeks old and weigh about 10lbs each. they are lab/shepherd mixes.

Cooper is a 1 year old shepherd mixed with something smaller - possibly corgi! He's super sweet and loves to play with other dogs! He's 40lbs!

Roger - This sweet and playful guy is about 50lbs and heartworm negative! He might be a lab dalmatian mix. He lived with a family, but he kept running away so he ended up at the shelter. He would love to make his way to IL and into the loving arms of a foster family!

Callie & Dash are adorable siblings! They are just 20lbs each and about 7 months old. They are so friendly; we have no idea why they were wandering the streets! We’d love to bring this pair up to IL so they can cuddle up with a family.

Champ is a boxer mix and is just 34lbs. He needs some good dog food to help him get back to his healthy weight. This guy wants to be your #1. Can you help Champ out?

The “D” puppies! These gorgeous puppies are between 3-4 months old and weigh about 25lbs each. They are friendly and just want people to love them! They are shepherd lab mixes – so friendly and smart! Can you welcome one of these guys into your home?\

Barney- Barney’s a 2 year old black lab mix! He’s a sweet and happy boy, loves to play with toys and cuddle! He is a high energy guy and would love a back yard and a buddy to run around with! He gets along with all people and other dogs too! Sadly, he is heartworm positive. He’ll need a foster home for 2-3 months while Safe Haven provides him treatment.

Miss Daisy- Look at this sweet and happy girl! Miss Daisy was found running around in TN after she’d been adopted. We’re not sure why her family would abandon her. This girl is about 45lbs and very fun and spunky!

Rocky is a 42lbs happy cutie pie. He was also shot in the leg breaking the small bone in his leg. He'll need to be seen by our ortho vet to see how we can properly heal him. can you help Rocky while his leg heals?

Simon and Garfunkel are 10-week-old lab mixes. They would like to be Homeward Bound. They are just looking for A Bridge Over Troubled Waters. I bet these guys would appreciate the Sounds of Silence a foster home has to offer! They are so sweet and good-natured puppies!

Peanut Butter and Twix are the last two Sweet Snack puppies looking for foster homes. They are small mixed breed puppies that are about 4lbs each. These two need to get out of the shelter so they can run and play. They need to be fostered together.

Sweet Wendy didn't make is up the last few transports and she's hoping this is her lucky day! Wendy is an 11 month old mix. Maybe Jack Russel Terrier? Hound? What ever she is she's spunky and loves to give kisses! She enjoys playing with other dogs and also really enjoys people! Can you foster Wendy?

Safe Haven provides you with everything you need while you foster. You also have the first option to adopt the dog in your care. Fostering is a great way to see if a dog fits in with your family!

Please don't delay. We have until 12pm on Thursday to have committed fosters and SAVE these dogs. They can only come THIS SUNDAY 2/2 if we have committed fosters!
