Downtown Santa Continues Tour Of Batavia Businesses

BATAVIA, IL – Santa Clause, known as "Downtown Santa" in Batavia, will continue his tour of area businesses this weekend with a stop at a local barber shop. On three Saturdays in December, Batavia MainStreet welcomes Downtown Santa at businesses in the three quadrants of downtown.

This week, on Dec. 9, he will be at Beardsgaard Barbers, 117 S. Batavia Ave. Last week, he was at Limestone Coffee & Tea and next Saturday, Dec. 16, he will make a stop at Underground Allegro, 103 E. Wilson St.

Beginning at 10 a.m., free crafts will be available for children inside the businesses, according to a news release from Batavia MainStreet. Goodie bags will be given to the first 100 kids in attendance each time.
Santa will be available from 11 a.m. until noon for a visit and photo with children of all ages (and pups as well).

Volunteers from the Batavia High School Key Club will be on hand assisting with the holiday crafts.

Sponsors of the effort include Chick Fil A – Batavia, Funway Ultimate Entertainment Center, Kiwanis Club of Batavia, First State Bank and Bulldog Plumbing, Inc.
