Elburn Police Officer Has No Money to Hire Attorney

David Wright, who is currently on administrative leave while facing criminal sexual assault charges, said he cannot afford an attorney.

“Wright faces a total of 21 counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and sexual assault of a family member,” The Tribune reported. “Prosecutors allege Wright repeatedly assaulted the female for 10 years, beginning in 2005 when she was younger than 13.

“He remains held on $500,000 bail and is on administrative leave from the police department, authorities previously said, pending the outcome of the case.”
